I tend to find that perhaps because the gas offsets your tastebuds, sparkling can pair with pretty much anything, but I have to say taco rice was a fantastic match.It’s hard to put my finger on exactly what clicked here but I suppose the refreshing acidity on the finish is key.
Hakkaisan Sparkling
The sake opens with punchy notes of apple, pink grapefruit, and lime with some hints of yogurt and steamed rice. It is very clean and elegant with a refreshing zingy finish.
